SUMMARY:ISIC 2022 International Conference
DESCRIPTION:The next International Conference of the International Society for Intelligent Construction (ISIC 2022) will be held in Guimarães\, Portugal\, from September 7 to 9\, 2022. The theme of ISIC 2022 is “Trends on Construction in the Post-Digital Era.” The historic town center of Guimarães is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2001. The conference will be hosted by our team at the University of Minho. In 2019\, ISIC renamed the International Intelligent Construction Technologies Group (IICTG)\, launched in Guimarães during the 3rd International Conference of Transportation Geotechnics in 2016.\nISIC 2022 will be our third international conference\, following the first one of the IICTG in Minnesota\, USA\, in 2017 and the second one in Beijing\, China\, in 2019. ISIC 2022 will follow our mission to serve as a unique platform for promoting intelligent construction applications to improve the quality of construction\, cost-saving\, the resilience of infrastructure from climate changes\, and risk reduction. To achieve those goals\, a holistic approach is essential from multidisciplinary fields\, including civil engineering\, construction machinery\, electronic sensor technology\, survey/testing technologies\, information technology/computing\, etc. In this digital era\, it is our vision to address societal issues for humans’ wellbeing in their physical environments. We anticipate the ISIC 2022 will be well attended by agencies\, industries\, academics\, and consultants in the above fields from all over the world.
