Prof. Qian Su, Technical Committee Member of ISIC
Prof. Qian Su is a professor at Southwest Jiaotong University. Prof. Su has also been the Director of the Teacher Development Center, the Vice President of the E’mei Campus, associate dean of the School of Civil Engineering, etc. Prof. Su is one of the academic and technical leaders of Sichuan Province and was elected as New Century Excellent Talents in Universities in 2012. His career post includes Deputy Secretary-General of the Geology and Subgrade Branch of the China Railway Society, Deputy Secretary-General of the Line Professional Committee of the China Railway Society, Director of China Railway Construction Association, Executive Director and Deputy Secretary-General of China Geosynthetics Association, Deputy Director of Geosynthetics Reinforced Soil Professional Committee, Member of China Branch of International Geosynthetics Association, Director of Sichuan Branch of China Railway Society, Chairman of WTC Geotechnical Subgrade Comprehensive Design and Treatment Technical Committee, etc. His research areas include Road and Railway Engineering (including Geotechnical Design Theory and New Structure, New technology for foundation treatment, Subgrade Engineering Dynamics, Seismic damping technology for subgrade engineering), Anti-Disaster Mitigation Engineering and Protection Engineering of Line Systems, New Materials and Informatization Technology of Traffic and Civil Engineering, etc.
Prof. Su has conducted many research projects and published over 100 papers in domestic and international journals. Prof. Su has received many awards, e.g., the Grand Prize “National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology” in 2008, the Second Prize of “Science and Technology Progress Award of The Ministry of Education” in 2012, the First Prize “Scientific and Technological Award of China Railway Society” in 2007, “Zhan Tianyou Technology Award” in 2008, two Second Prizes of “Scientific and Technological Award of China Railway Society” in 2009, one Grand Prize, one First Prize and Third Prize of “Scientific and Technological Award of China Railway Group Limited” in 2010, one Second Prize of “Scientific and Technological Award of China Railway Society” in 2011, one First Prize of “Scientific and Technological Award of China Railway Society” in 2013, one First Prize of “Science and Technology Award of China Construction Enterprise Management Association” in 2013, and one Second Prize of “Scientific and Technological Award of China Railway Society” in 2014.
